Red Cabbage

Red Cabbage

2 tbsps butter
5 cups shredded red cabbage
1 grated green apple
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
3-5 tbsps water
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp ground cloves (or more if you prefer)
salt and pepper to taste

Melt butter in large pot. Add cabbage and green apple. Stir to combine. Add all the rest of the ingredients, stirring well to combine.

Cook on low heat for 1-3 hours or until cabbage is tender
