Have cheese? Make quiche.
Pastry shell:
1-1/2 cups flour
pinch salt
6 tbsps butter
2 tbsps shortening
2 tbsps cold water
Combine flour and salt. Cut in butter and shortening till looks like small peas. Add water and bring together to make a dough.
Roll dough and line pan
Filling:
4-5 slices bacon
1/2 medium onion sliced thin
In a pan, put in 1 tbsp oil. Saute bacon and onion till bacon is crisp. Drain well. Put both into shell.
Add 1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyere is best or cheddar)
Mix 2 eggs and 2 yolks. Add 1-1/2 cups light cream, half and half or whole milk. Pepper
Pour into shell. Bake at 375 for about 25-30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and EAT!
