1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup flour
pinch salt
3/4 stick (6 tbsps) cold butter cut into cubes
1/8 tsp cayenne or chili powder
1-1/2 tbsps milk
Pulse the cheese, flour, salt, cayenne and butter in a food processor until blended well. Add milk and blend till it forms a dough.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into approx a 12″ x by 8″ rectangle. At this point, you can sprinkle the dough with nigella seeds, sesame seeds or leave plain. Cut into 3/4″ strips. Put on a clean cookie sheet (not greased) and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 15-18 minutes until lightly browned at the edges.
Cool and serve. Oh yum!
